The Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers (ISCE) has appointed Terry Baldwin as president at its recent AGM, held in Watford, Hertfordshire. He takes over from Bryan Robinson, who held office for the past three years. Baldwin, states the ISCE has been a prominent figure in the sound system industry for over 50 years, being a joint founder of Baldwin-Boxall Communications. The Institute duly noted its thanks to him for taking on the role of president at short notice after the sudden death of David Hopkins, who was due to take the post. The AGM concluded with a panel-led discussion, covering subjects such as the implications of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order, the future of radio microphone licensing and use in the UK and independent assessment of VA systems.
