Flux capacity crowd

Flux Events headed by John Farquhar-Smith recently production managed and coordinated the technical elements and support for the 2008 Secret Policeman’s Ball - for Amnesty International - staged at the Royal Albert Hall.

Gurdip Mahal was brought in as lighting designer, creating a design featuring a low level rear wall of 80 JTE PixelLine LED battens and five Novalight Nova Flower high powered effects fixtures positioned on the floor at the back of the stage. This helped increase the depth of field for the cameras on the RAH’s relatively shallow stage, and also filled the gaps on this and a satellite stage in the centre of the arena floor. All lighting equipment was supplied by PRG, with which Flux has worked previously. Ross Williams programmed the show on to a WholeHog 3 console. Seb Williams was Mahal’s gaffer. The show was mixed by Phil Wright who also designed and installed the system. The project manager was Steve Greetham and all the technicals were coordinated on site by Stuart Heaney.
