Just the ticket

Here’s an early reminder The Theatres Trust’s Annual Conference takes place on June 10, at the Cottesloe Theatre, London, The Stage being among the event’s leading sponsors.

Among the issues to be addressed by a top level panel, which includes Margaret Hodge, Minister of State for Culture, Media and Sport, is the implication of new legislation to reduce carbon emissions being introduced through climate change, energy and planning bills.

The discussion will be chaired by Channel Four News anchorman, Jon Snow. Again, the event ties in with the Association of British Theatre Technicians’ Theatre Show which opens the following day, thereby encouraging conference delegates to visit the show to see at first hand what manufacturers and suppliers are doing to help theatres reduce energy consumption.
