Jennifer Reischel is an award-nominated author, theatre critic, feature writer and trained performing arts professional. Her industry guide “So you want to tread the boards” was nominated for an award in the “How-to” category at the 2010 London Book Festival, is recommended by Elaine Paige and includes a foreword by Leslie Bricusse.

Originally of German heritage, Jennifer Reischel was raised and schooled bilingually, including in the Far East. Completing the three-year musical theatre degree at Mountview Academy in 2002, Jennifer has since gathered a variety of performance experience. In addition to musical theatre shows, touring play work and filming a Television pilot, Jennifer has also performed her one-woman cabaret show at London’s Pizza on the Park, Lauderdale House, Vauxhall Tavern and at jazz venues in Singapore. Further experience includes guest presenting on well-known Podcast Musicaltalk and solo vocal recordings for UK Jazz FM Radio. Jennifer is currently a member of the West End Chorus, singing in concert with artists such as Brian May, Kerry Ellis, Josh Groban and Idina Menzel, and most recently Roger Moore, Vanessa Redgrave and Joanna Lumley.

As a writer, Jennifer is a regular feature article contributor and theatre critic for The Stage. She is also a central reviewer of the annual drama school showcases, has written for the Dear John column, as well as originating and editing The Stage Graduates Club e-newsletter. Further writing includes contributions to the “The Actors Yearbook”, theatre reviews and feature articles for Fringe Review and short story fiction for Artshub. Other experience includes co-casting plays for Writers Avenue performed at the Soho Theatre in 2011.

When not following her creative pursuits, Jennifer runs the communications aspect for a leading European Risk Management team in the City.
