Objective Productions appoints first head of drama

Peep Show producer Objective Productions has appointed its first head of drama, as it seeks to expand into the genre following its success with Fresh Meat.

Judy Counihan, the executive producer of Fresh Meat – the company’s first comedy drama – has been appointed to the role, and will be responsible for leading the development and production of the new department’s content. This will include series, serials and single dramas for television.

Counihan said: “I hope to build on the success of Fresh Meat by focusing on developing comedy dramas and more serious fare for film and television. We have a fantastic pool of talent we are currently working with and I hope to deepen those relationships by developing projects that are warm, funny, clever and moving.”

She will report to Objective chief executive Andrew Newman
