Genevieve Lemon joins cast of Billy Elliot

Australian actress Genevieve Lemon is to join the West End cast of Billy Elliot the Musical as a new boy takes the title role from May 31.

Lemon, who recently performed in Billy Elliot the Musical in Australia, will play dance teacher Mrs Wilkinson. It will be her West End debut.

Aaron Watson, aged 12, will take up the title role, becoming the 23rd boy to play the part in the West End as the show enters its sixth year.

As well as productions currently running in the USA, the show is due to open in Korea in August, and Toronto and Japan next year.

Billy Elliot the Musical is presented in London by Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Tiger Aspect and is based on the Universal Pictures/Studio Canal film.
